The Somali Climate Review (SCR) is Somalia’s leading climate-focused magazine and the flagship platform of the Climate Generation Movement. It serves as a hub for climate intelligence, environmental foresight, and sustainability discourse. SCR bridges gaps between research, policy, and community action, delivering insights that are practical, forward-looking, and actionable.
2. Scope of Content
We welcome submissions aligned with SCR’s core thematic areas:
- Climate Science & Environmental Trends – climate risks, biodiversity, adaptation, and emerging environmental patterns.
- Policy & Governance – laws, strategies, planning, climate finance, and regulatory innovation.
- Innovation & Technology – renewable energy, green startups, agri-tech, digital climate tools.
- Youth & Community Engagement – grassroots initiatives, storytelling, civic leadership, and social impact.
- Opinion & Thought Leadership – forward-looking analysis, expert perspectives, and solution-oriented insights.
3. Submission Guidelines
- Formats Accepted: Articles, essays, opinion pieces, interviews, case studies, infographics.
- Length: Feature articles 800–1,500 words; opinion pieces 500–800 words.
- Style: Clear, professional, accessible, and engaging; minimize jargon.
- Language: English or Somali.
- Originality: Submissions must be original and unpublished elsewhere; proper citations required.
- Tone: Evidence-based, solution-focused, inclusive, and forward-thinking.
4. Reference Style
- Use APA 7th Edition for all citations and references.
- In-text citations: (Author, Year) format.
- Reference list at the end of the article must include all cited sources in alphabetical order.

- Disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources where relevant.
- Respect cultural sensitivities and prioritize inclusivity.
7. Rights & Acknowledgement
- Submission grants SCR the right to edit, publish, and distribute content (print, digital, multimedia).
- Authors retain copyright of their work.
